Elder Care Challenges with COVID-19

Care choices in normal times are hard. Covid-19 has made them significantly more challenging.

Who Are We & How Can We Help?

Careable is your independent objective source of information and advice. We are not an agency motivated to supply staff. We not affiliated in any way with retirement homes or other facilities nor do we receive any fees or remuneration from these facilities.

For 22 years we have been helping families navigate the complex care of loved ones. We specialize in care for those with complex conditions and dementia. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of all your options for managing a loved one
  • Assisting with financial planning given prognosis and progression
  • Once an option is decided we can assist with implementation
  • If required follow up review to ensure delivery of care consistent with the care plan

What Are The Options?

  • Stay at home longer
  • Retirement home
  • Move in with family
  • Long term care facility

Unfortunately, no one size fits all. Variables include current health condition. Is it frailty? Or multiple health conditions? Behavioural issues? Alzheimer’s or similar dementia? What is the likely progression of disease and over what time frame? Are the financial resources sufficient to provide the preferred standard of care over the long term?

Free Initial Consultation

We offer a free initial telephone consultation. You are under no obligation.

OPTION: Should you decide to proceed with a more in depth assessment we offer a flat rate review with recommendations.
